Ayla Story

Your impact in Turkey

A generation of young brave Turkish believers are using social media to share the gospel

In the wake of the devastating Antioquia earthquake on the summer of 2023, Wild for the Nations traveled to Turkey. With the church facing significant challenges, we provided resources so the local church would receive relief and ongoing support to help them navigate this crisis.

Providing Resources

One of our key contributions was producing videos to help the local church fundraise and raise awareness about the urgent needs in the region. These videos not only mobilized humanitarian aid but also highlighted the challenges facing Turkish communities in the aftermath of the earthquake. Thanks to the timely nature of this project, we were able to equip the church with the tools they needed to respond quickly and effectively.

Ayla's story

In addition to the immediate relief, we provided video production training to nearly 15 young Christian in Turkey. The youth in the local church are passionate about using social media to share the gospel and raise awareness about the needs in their country. The training gave them storytelling and technical skills to take their efforts to the next level. In a nation where Christians are a minority, these influencers are courageous in boldly sharing their faith.

One young influencer, Ayla*, shared her personal testimony during the training, explaining how she uses social media to connect with non-believers and share the gospel in her own language. Despite the risks involved in living as a Christian in Turkey, Ayla and others like her are stepping forward with boldness, knowing that their voices matter and can make a difference.

Our video production training equipped participants with skills that will continue to make a lasting impact for years to come

Facing New Challenges

Due to recent geopolitical tensions, including the conflict between Turkey and Israel, traveling to the region has become more challenging. However, the need for support remains urgent, and the work we’ve done with the local church is more important than ever.

As Turkish believers continue to courageously share the gospel, we are grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside them, providing the tools and resources needed to strengthen their mission.
